Help Tomi fulfill her dream of becoming a nurse

This fundraising campaign is on behalf of Tomiloba. She is in her second year in the university. She is aspiring to become a nurse and she needs help in raising her tuition and other fees. In Nigeria we have the government owned universities and the private universities. The government owned schools are not as expensive as the private schools because the fees are subsidized by the government but it can be difficult to gain admission into them because the universities are not enough to admit the high number of students who are seeking for admission. The private universities are very expensive but easy to gain admission into them. Tomi tried for years but couldn’t gain admission into any of the government owned universities.

She took a bold step to pursue her dreams by applying to a private university last session to study nursing and she was admitted. Gaining access to student loans here in Nigeria isn’t possible because there are no provisions for that so getting funds to pay for her tuition fees last academic session was a huge challenge but she managed to scale through. A lot of young and intelligent Nigerians aspire to go school and be educated but aren’t able to because many families are still living below the poverty line.

She is aware of the challenges taking this step would bring but she is very hopeful she will get through them. She has always talked about becoming a nurse and how she wants to reach out to people in her community positively through this profession. She knows about this fundraising campaign and she is hoping that it will be a success.
