Campaign Story
We are a volunteer organization based in Bansko, Bulgaria. We organize educational and recreational activities for Ukrainian refugees. Mostly they are mothers and children who fled from the war zone. It is very important not only to help these people with housing and food, but it is also important to at least partially return them to normal life, help them adapt, find friends and support. This is especially important for children. Our small group has already done a lot for them this month. We organized English courses for adults and children, created a playroom for kids, held skiing lessons, drawing and music lessons. There are many more ideas that we want to implement. Hiking, sports activities, art and music projects and more. But we need the support of sponsors, as we do everything at our own expense. Yes, many people help us for free, but for some things we have to pay. That is why we are starting a fundraiser. All reports on our activities and expenses are transparent and can be seen here on our page. Many thanks to everyone in advance. Remember that every euro will help.

One of the goals of our centre was to reduce the language barrier when children and adults communicate with foreign citizens and communicate more easily and freely with people from all over the world. Last week, the volunteers THE HUGS UA with Alena Sidorova organized a creative gingerbread decoration master class for the youngest kids! Yesterday in the center "THE HAGS UA" our youngest, but very experienced and diligent master chef, held a magnificent sweet master classThe children were making chocolates and trying to create their own delicious recipes. On April 16, we had a special event in Bansko where the Ukrainian refugees expressed their gratitude to the Bulgarian people for hospitality and help in these difficult times.
