Help to STOP the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19)

Kreipiuosi į visus neabėjingus ir norinčius padėti.
Prasidėjus koronos viruso (COVID - 19) protrūkiui kaip ir daugelis susirūpinau savo ir artimųjų sveikata bei gerove. Skambinau jiems ir teiravausi ar nieko netrūksta, ar galiu kuom padėti. Pirmosiomis epidemijos dienomis nemačiau nieko daugiau apart savęs ir savo artimųjų. Negalėjau pamatyti ir suprasti, kas dedasi iš tikrųjų, kol nesutikau kaimynės ir nepradėjau su ja kalbėti.

Senyvo amžiaus senjorė, jau ilgą laiką gyvena viena. Paklausus jos kaip ji laikosi senjorė atrodė susirūpinusi. Ji prisipažino dažnai bijanti palikti namus ir šiuo metu gyvenanti ypač sunkiai. Senjorė gyveno iš mažos pensijos, papildomų pajamų užsidirbdavo pardavinėdama mezginius ir kitus įvairius rankdarbius, bet dabar ji to nebegali daryti.
Po pokalbio supratau, jog senjorams, dabar kaip niekad labiau reikia mūsų pagalbos. Maišus pilnus maisto pristačiau jai į namus ir pasakiau, kad kreiptųsi pagalbos, kada tik reikės.
Pradėjas kalbėtis su žmonėmis, pastebėjau, kad šitokių žmonių, kuriems pagalbos šiuo metu reikia net labiau nei bet kada yra daugiau nei norėtusi tikėti.
Jai nesate rizikos grupėje ir galite padėti savo bendruomėnei bent nueidami už juos į parduotuvę, labai prašau padėkite jiems ir prisidėkite prie šios iniciatyvos.

On the outburst of Corona virus (COVID – 19) I, like many others, turned to my family and tried help them as much as I could. I called and visited them asking if there is a way I can aid them somehow.
On the first days of the epidemic I couldn‘t see anything else beside myself, my family, and my close friends. I wasn‘t able to see and understand what is going on around me until one day I met my neighbor Greta and started to talk with her.
Elderly woman Greta is living alone for a while now. When I asked her how is she doing, Greta seemed worried. She told me that most of the time she is afraid to leave her home and things are getting harder for her each day. Greta lived off her small pension and aditional income for living expences she made by selling knitwear but now she is unable to go to a market place and sell any of them because of the quarantine.
After our talk I understood that Greta is in need for help more than ever. So I bought couple bags of groceries for her and delivered it to her apartment. I saw tears of joy on Greta when I showed up at her doorstep woth those groceries. She was very thankful for my help and support.
In upcoming days I started to speak with more and more people around my neighborhood and noticed that there is many more people that are in need for support just like Greta.

If you are not in the risk group of COVID – 19 and are able to help your community by atleast going to the shop to get them groceries, please do it.
