Firstly, thank you for visiting Da Jie's crowdfunding page. We would like to use this page to share Da Jie's story and help raise funds for her continued medical treatment. Here is her story:

Zhang Shu Fen joined our Company over 5 years ago as a foreign worker from Hei Long Jiang, China as a packer for food ingredients. Most of us at the Company endearingly call her "Da Jie" which means Big Sister in English because that is what she has been to us in the Company. Da Jie has a vivacious and spirited personality, and there was never a dull moment with her around. Just like an older sister, she always takes cares of others first too. She would prepare lunch meals for everyone, ensuring everyone is well-fed and that fellow foreign workers get a taste of home-cooked food. Younger co-workers often go to her when they need any help or advice in their personal lives. Aside from being a great co-worker, she was a model employee too. She worked hard daily and executed tasks given to her well.

On 30th September 2019, it was just another typical work day for her. However, she suddenly collapsed during her lunch break and realised she could not move. She called for help and was immediately sent to the nearest hospital. Da Jie suffered from a brain aneurysm and has since undergone four brain surgeries. She is currently still lying in the hospital in a semi-comatose state, unable to move, respond or speak. Her two sisters from China have since quit their jobs in China and flew over to Singapore and have been providing around-the-clock care for her at the hospital. They have plans to fly Da Jie back to China for further treatment and care once they have sufficient funds.

Da Jie has been such a huge part of the family at our Company and we want to do more as colleagues and friends, to support her and her family as they get through this difficult time. It will be a long and difficult road to recovery and we would like to enlist your support in helping Da Jie and her family raise money for her medical bills, and subsequent rehabilitative care expenses in the future.

We thank you in advance for your help, prayers and contribution!
