We have recently started a Cycling Club and are desperately in need of bikes or bike parts. Our team started with 6 and now we have 15 scholars who all come from either single-parent homes, parents are unemployed or they come from low-income homes. The club has raised funds to buy the bikes they are using. The kids who we have entered for races have excelled beyond our expectations. Just recently three of the boys clocked times of 2,43, 3.01 and 3.07 in the cape towncycle tour.

The team is growing as we are raising role models in a community where drugs, alcohol-abuse and teenage pregnancy are the norm. Gangsterism is on the increase, but our team have shied away from such negativity. We have seen changes in the scholars. They have become disciplined in their school work as well. The cycling is now a norm of life to them.

We take them to partake in races but even this is becoming difficult to achieve as we constantly need money to take them to events and also need entry fees.

Please assist where you can.

And Thank you in anticipation
