Help to Give Dobby a New Life

Dobby was recued off the streets of Valladolid, Yucatan. He was abandoned by former owners and left on the streets only to be hit by a car and leave him limping with a broken leg.

When I found him he was a complete mess. Skinny, smelly, both ears bleeding and the break on his leg swollen with infection. I tried to get him cleaned up and have him gain a bit of weight so I could get him checked out by the vet in Tulum as soon as possible. Once there, x-rays and blood tests showed that he not only had a fracture in his leg, but heartworm too. Heartworm is a serious disease in dogs that can ultimately lead to organ failure and long term health damage. He will need to get treated for this as soon as possible to ensure the highest chance of full recovery.

With those huge flappy ears and his sweet character, it's no hard guess why Dobby received his name. He's an absolute lover, coming to ask for cuddles and some playtime as often as he can. We're just hoping to find some friends who want to help to get him healthy again. He's only about 1 year old and has been through so much already. With the help of donations we can make sure he'll get back to full strength and find a sweet family to give love to.
