Campaign Story
My name is Freddy from Indonesia.
I am people living with HIV since 9 years ago. My past was not good because I often saw my parents fighting each other, both verbally and physically in front of me.
There are two unforgettable moments of the memories that crossed to my mind every time I feel sad or depressed.
Once, my mom was asking help from her brother to have discussion with my dad, and they brought my older brother along. The discussion was tough ended up my brother and dad had serious fight. My dad brought a knife and tried to stab my brother. Luckily my brother was saved and went to my mom’s brother for months.
Second, it was an intense morning with a fight after I woke up. I was taking shower and I heard my mom screamed. I rushed out and I found out that my mom was already on the floor, choked by my dad
Things are getting better currently but I have felt some trauma that lately I heard voices and think of certain way to try to hurt myself.
I would like to use the donation to support me to psychiatrist and hope I can overcome my trauma.
As of having HIV in my country is still full of negative stigma I am afraid to ask help in my own country. People tend to judge and bully that may make my condition worse.
Thank you and regards
