Hi. My name is Pieter Lamprecht, an officer in the South African Air Force. I am single, but I am playing the role of father for a son I never met physically.
Dilshod Imomzoda is a very talented 20 year old young man from Idintsovo, Tajikistan near Dushanbe. He has never met his real father and his mother has a nervous or psychological condition that started when his brother drowned in a river when he was 12 years old. She is unable to take care of him. God destined it to let our paths cross and we followed each other on Instagram during April 2018. He liked the idea that I'm in the Air Force and after a while he asked myself if I could be his father. I protested a bit, being singke, and initially I really didn't want to play this role. However, he kept asking and kept calling me father and now 2 years later we are still father and son, which we will be for life. I created an Instagram account at his request that he could use to show his friends that he now has a father and I post what he asks me to post.
Dilshod stays in Odintsovo in Tajikistan, near Dushanbe. Their house is basically a shack or cabin on a mountain.
Previously he was in a medical school for a short while and when we met, he asked me if I could pay the fees. It costs 50,000 rubles per month and I could not afford it. However, I helped him with smaller amounts to buy food and medicine for his mother. He then went to Moscow in December 2018 to find work so he could do his part to pay for his mother's medication. He couldn't find a job and ended up penniless in a public toilet in a parking lot with homeless people. He once passed out while looking for food and was found unconscious in the snow by a lady who helped him recover for two days. Finally I took a loan, bought an air ticket to Dushanbe, and returned him to his mother, even though penniless. I kept helping him monthly and I still do. But soon I won't be able to because of a major financial loss due to the market turmoil caysed by the Covid-19 pandemic, which left me over-indebted and basically unable to continue helping him.
Last year I was deployed to the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He called me one day with good news. A lecturer at his former medical school offered him the opportunity to study for 16,000 rubles per month, instead of 50,000 rubles, and they booked his mother in the academic hospital for free treatment for a period of time. He was also allowed to sleep somewhere in the hospital, since with his mother in the hospital and their home far away, he had nowhere to go. He asked me if I could pay the 16,000 rubles per month for 4 years and 6 months. Between $ 250 and $ 300, depending on the exchange rate per month. I agreed.
He is like Patch Adams and seems to cheer on patients and staff. A doctor saw his talent and offered him the opportunity to compete in an Olympiad, which he won and, as a prize, he was allocated a small private room in the hospital.
I am in a difficult financial situation and it will break my heart to ruin his future and perhaps his only chance to get his education and a chance at a better life.
I was thinking and praying for a solution and I thought about asking for help on gogetfunding. I need a maximum of $ 250 to $ 300 per month, but it could be less as long as it's around 16000 rubles to sustain Dilshod. Dilshod can be paid directly instead of to me, provided he receives help. 16000 Rubles covers the basics, but if he need a winter coat or extra food, I always try to give him between 17000 and 20,000 rubles. Sometimes the South African rand is a little stronger against the US dollar and then I pay a little more in dollars. However, the South African rand is now much weaker against the dollar than in 2018 and that makes it much more difficult for me. He asks me almost every month if I can give him $ 300, but I can't. 16,000 rubles is due to the exchange rate of only $ 230, but it cost me around $ 70 (ZAR) extra for fees and the ZAR / Russian Ruble / USD exchange rate.
I humbly ask for help for Dilshod for a monthly income of about $ 250 / $300, however I plan for the worst case scenario and will have to make another plan in case this request of mine fails. If anyone can help with at least some of the $ 250 / $ 300 per month, I will do my best to add the rest.
Thanks in advance.
God bless you.
