We are 'KINDERGARTEN OF JOY'.
Founded by Albert Kahai (Founder and Director of Hurumia Watoto Charity), 'KINDERGARTEN OF JOY' is a pre-school based in Mafinga, a city with more 200 000 citizens, in the Iringa District of Tanzania. We are giving more than 90 children, both fee-paying and non-fee paying the opportunity to learn and develop in a kind, safe and familial environment. This is the only kindergarten in Mafinga that also provides education for the families that can´t afford it otherwise.

Volunteers and the generosity of friends and strangers alike are essential to this program. It is only through this kindness and through donations that we will be able to move our project forward and achieve what we hope to for the children and their futures.
It is our joy that we can provide even for non
fee-paying children with meals through fees and fundraising.
Currently we are renting a building that is barely suitable for the number of children we have, but as our project grows, it will rapidly become unfit for our needs.
OUR PROJECT:
To keep up with the needs of our community and its children, we wish to build our permanent, long-lasting 'KINDERGARTEN OF JOY' from scratch. The aim is to have 2 classrooms, appropriate washing/bathroom facilities and volunteer accommodation.
