I'm one person, but hoping with the help of social media and the people of the world, together we can build a Tribal Nagas home a better place...Manipur state  is one of the seven states of North East India. It is flanked by Nagaland, Assam, Mizoram and Myanmar on the north, west, south and east respectively.  Dutnong village is predominantly occupied by the Naga tribes namely Zeliang Nagas in Manipur state India.Dutnong village, Manipur  is one of the remotest corners in the country. 100% of the population of the village depends on agriculture. With no other source of income, this village continues to remain poverty stricken. The poor tribal confine to extraction of dry firewood, wild vegetables, brooms, and bamboo shoots etc., which are sold on day-to-day basis to meet their immediate requirements of funds. Health institution in the area have none, education expenditures by government are not well directed, as such no school functions in the village. Illiteracy adds more to the burden of this people..Excessive portrayal of the violence in the region, particularly, the tribal unrest in the northeast by the observers also do not help the tribal cause as these districts attract no investors from outside. I have done a documentary video of this Tribal Villagers. Sure to check it out! During my visit in the month of April 2014 for population survey under the aegis of Tribal Research and Welfare Organization, i got to spent one night at Dutnong Village and that was how i learnt of their sufferings and long plight of struggles. It is such a pity that neither the government nor any organization has come forward to extend any support to these poor villagers whose income is nothing more than their little agricultural produce. With no development and no proper roads, it is quite impossible for them to incure any kinds of materials goods for building a same home. Ever since my return from return Dutnong Village, their share of sorrows had been bothering me and i have being thinking hard if I could do anything to help them. I want to share their story to the whole world so that together we can help them to have a proper roofed house. What We Need: We need to build 40 houses out of 45 and for which we require 25 tin sheets per house as it shown below:1. Cost of 1 tin-sheet-                                                     $ 9.962. Cost of 25 tin-sheets required per house-            $ 249.213. Cost of tin-sheet for 40 houses-                             $ 10000 This is the least we can do for the poor Tribal Naga Dutnong Villagers to help them live in the comfort of a home. Let us stretch out a helping hand to help them build a protected roof house. And for this to happen, we need a little contribution from whoever is willing to help. Whatever little you contribute will go all in building them a properly roofed house with a tin-sheet.  Risks & Challenges Housing is one of the basic requirement for human survival. For a shelterless person, possession of a house brings about a profound change in his existence, endowing him with an identity, thus integrating him with his immediate social milieu. With a view to meeting needs of tin-sheet to build a 40 houses of the poor Dutnong Village, Manipur state India.I can never achieved this goal alone and so, I need everybody's help in whatever way you can. Let us reach out to the poor of Dutnong Village, Manipur state India by providing them with tin-sheets to have a proper roofed houses with tin-sheets. As such they need not worry about having to repair their roof after every monsoon, and during the rainy days these villagers can sleep peacefully without having to bother the rain dripping into their beds. SO WHAT ARE YOU THINKING...COME LET'S JOIN OUR HANDS TO BRING A SMILE ON THE POOR FACE, THEY NEED YOU & I...! Other Ways You Can Help Some people just can't contribute, but that doesn't mean they can't help: If you're unable to help out with any of the above, money would be a wonderful substitute :) Even $1 would help, and if you can't give even that, please share on Facebook, Twitter, etc Help us spread the word - Share our link on any and all of your social media pages Help us network - Send us names/contacts of people you know who would be interested in donating Keep us in your thoughts/prayers - This is probably the most important part of our entire project so please keep the prayers and thoughts coming!
