The aim of this fundraiser is capacity building of Early Childhood Teachers in Moyo, Northern Uganda. The region is generally poor and many families struggle to meet their daily needs. As a result of this, many children fail to receive any preschool education, which in turn has a negative impact on their further academic progress. Additionally, the lack of qualified ECD teachers makes the pre-school education unaffordable for many poor and marginalized families. In order to tackle this problem, Weaver Nest ECD Institute offers to build the capacity ECD teachers who will be willing to educate the young children from marginalized rural and refugee communities in Moyo district. While the Institute is up and running, there is a need for a permanent building, as currently, it operates in rented temporary facilities. The first group of students are graduating on December 2017. Weaver Nest ECD Institute will be thankful for any contribution towards this cause, which will, in turn, benefit many young children and youth in Moyo District in Uganda.
