Campaign Story
A little help will go a long way!!!
Our dear mommy Emy has been in and out of the hospital since October 29, 2018. After several tests (such as blood tests, bone marrow biopsy, PET Scan, etc.), she was diagnosed with Hemophagocytic Lymphohistiocytosis (HLH), a rare blood disorder wherein white blood cells are overactive and are affecting multiple organs such as the liver, spleen, kidneys and lungs. She was in the ICU from December 1, 2018 - January 26, 2019 and has been in the regular room since then. As of posting, she’s had her 9th week dosage of chemotherapy (no definite number of dosages left as she is on 2nd phase or continuing treatment already), weekly blood transfusions (more or less 70 bags transfused since October 29, 2018) as well as approximately 25 times of 5-hr dialysis (every other day from December 1, 2018 to January 26, 2019).
As many of you may know, they are a very simple and small family of 3. Tita Emy is a housewife, her husband is the breadwinner of the family (also sick himself and recently suffered 3 mild strokes in less than 3 weeks apart since December 31, 2018) and Carla, the only daughter who’s still starting to build her career. With 4 months of being confined, the hospital bill has already piled up to a total of P7M (excluding doctors’ fees and miscellaneous fees). Her daily expenses range from P75k to 100k per day for all the tests, machines, medicines and supplies used. The hard-earned money that Tita Emy and Tito Carlos have been saving for their retirement have already been withdrawn from the bank accounts to support her medical expenses. Their battle is not yet over as she’s still in the hospital and will have to be on close monitoring, follow-up checkups and laboratory tests and continuous treatment even after she is discharged.
Tita Emy is a wonderful person. She’s the most genuine and loving person we know. Let’s help fulfill her dream to live a long life, see the world and play with her future grandchildren.
As much as the family wants to handle this on their own, we have decided to share their story to hopefully get as much help as we can. We are humbly asking for financial support which you can course through this account:

We would appreciate any help you can extend to us.
Please feel free to share this post and please continue praying for Tita Emy’s full recovery. We’d like to thank everyone who has helped them emotionally and financially since they started this battle. We are truly grateful for all the love and support we’ve been receiving.
Thank you very much.

Update as of Mar 7, 2019
Update posted by Marivic Landicho at 08:53 amWe are knocking on your kind hearts once again. Unfortunately, mom was not given clearance to be discharged until now as she is immunocompromised and contracted another infection. We were also told that mom would need more than the initial 8 weeks of chemotherapy and will be in continuous treatment. . . . .
Tita’s progress
