The urdu word “Farishta” means Angel. We all now have the opportunity to treat an angel in face of a 3 year old kid from Afghanistan named Farishta. Farishta belongs to a village near the Mazar Sharif City. His father works in Iran while the other members of family do the farming on a small piece of land near their house to make the money for the family. He came to Pakistan with her mother and grandfather in early 2012. Prior to that, they went through to many hospitals in Kabul to find out the reasons for Farishta’s weakness and continuous decline in health. Upon advice of few relatives he is now admitted to Children Cancer Hospital to get treatment for this disease.
According to his grandfather who only speaks Persian, the road to recovery has been a smooth one. He says that they cannot even afford a normal disease let alone something like cancer. We should now give them full financial and moral support to safe this cute little wonder of world and a hope for his family.
He doesn't wink literally while his favourite cartoon is being played at the LCDs in his ward. Doctors quoted
"We tried to bring out a smile from him by making funky faces and funny sounds but he was in no mood to move his eyes away from the LCD screen"
His father wishes that when Farishta grows up, he would serve the humanity by becoming a doctor and safe people who would suffer like them and are helpless. Our supporters should help us in fulfilling there dreams and lit up the hope of humanity in many hearts.
