Help This Boy Get His Fingers

The primary objective I start these fundraiser is for buying artificial fingers or prosthetic fingers for my 3 years old boy, my youngest son. Why my youngest boy needs prosthetic finger? Here is short story about my boy...

My name is Abdullah Fathi, 37 years old and i am Malaysian. I am father of 3 childrens. I live in Johor Bahru, Malaysia with simple life and raised my children with passion and love.

In early morning, about 5:15 am on January 26th, 2015, my son born in Hospital of Sultanah Aminah, Johor Bahru, Malaysia. My son born without 4 fingers, left hand. I accepted with wholeheartedly and thankful to God for this special gift. I raised my son as a normal kid with full of love and never thinking what he doesn't have like other normal kids. In age of 1 year to 2 years old, he not yet asking about his fingers. In age of 3 years old, which is children in stage of talkative and curiosity, my son start asking about his fingers. My son is very interested in drawing and playing blocks like Lego. His activities required him to grasped and hold the objects. He can grasped properly with right hand but when he tried to grasp with left hand, he couldn't. He started asked why he can't grasp with left hand. When he playing with other kids, he saw the different between his hand and other normal kids hand. At this point, he start asking, why his left hand different compare to other kids.

In one sunny morning, in February 2018, my son asked me - Dad, where is my fingers gone? In deep of my heart, i cried and feel very sad. I answered my son - Your fingers has been kept by God? This is the only answer i can told him at that moment. He asked my again - why God kept my fingers? I told him, his fingers are too beautiful and God like the fingers, that's why God kept it for a while and will return his fingers soon. My son talked to me, if God return his fingers later, he want to playing "Hi Five" with me. He said for now he can't play "Hi Five" because he don't have fingers on left hand.

Ladies and gentlemen, can you imagine if you in my shoes, how you feel for that?

Start from that day, my son frequently asking me, when God will give back his fingers? The only answer i could give is - soon will be return back to you. I made promised to myself, i will give my son the better life and make his life easy, even without fingers.

I started my personal mission searching how i can give fingers to my son. I surfing in internet almost everyday searching for what i looking for. I found some local and oversea companies which selling artificial fingers or prosthetic fingers. I had made contact with some companies, requesting price quotation for artificial fingers for 3 years old childrens. All companies that i had contacted told me, artificial fingers for children 3 years old need to be proper and special customised to fit the hand and the gross costing is about USD $3,000 to USD $5,000 for each finger. I realized that i cannot afford for this costs due to my monthly income below MYR1,500 per month. The gross costing for custom artificial fingers or prosthetic fingers for 3 years old child is about USD$3,000 to USD $5,000 for each finger. My son born without 4 fingers on left hand. To get custom artificial fingers or prosthetic fingers for all 4 fingers, I need at least USD $20,000.
