Life is really unfair. Vivian, Victoria and Vincentia are triplets with a condition affecting their bones. It is heartbreaking just watching them walk. They have extreme bowlegs and cannot play and run around like other normal kids their age. These adorable girls need our help!
As you can see from the videos and pictures, two of the girls are in a much worse condition than the third, but if something is not done soon, their future will be in jeopardy. I do not know if these girls have rickets or Blount's disease, and that is why I want to get a specialist doctor to look at their case and provide a treatment plan.
Rickets is a condition that results in weak or soft bones. Symptoms include bowed legs, stunted growth, bone pain, large forehead, and trouble sleeping.Complications may include bone fractures, muscle spasms, an abnormally curved spine, or intellectual disability. The most common cause is vitamin D deficiency. Blount's disease is a growth disorder of the shin bone that causes the lower leg to angle inward, resembling a bowleg. It is also known as "tibia vara". Failure to treat Blount's disease may lead to progressive deformity.
The case is worse - their family is too poor to provide the basic necessities that all children should have. So I would also like to help their family with living costs, buy food, clothes and shoes and new beds.
The money raised from this campaign will be used to:
- Send the triplets for a private medical checkup and provide a treatment plan. This includes getting the doctor to monitor the girl's development for the next couple years, or as long as possible.
- Improve their living conditions at home by buying new beds, clothes and shoes.
- Buy a years worth of groceries and supplements rich in nutrients and minerals that help bone growth.
Updates will be shared regularly with pictures and videos. These girls live in my neighborhood. I run into them once in a while and have always wanted to do something to help them.
Thank you for your support!
