Two shelters have been rescuing dogs for years. The rescued dogs were mostly abandoned or stray ones that required immediate care and shelter. As the dogs increased in number, the financial needs of the shelters also increased. Particularly, the shelter needs food and financial assistance for health care and maintenance expenses.

Charry, the owner of one of the shelter in Cavite, Philippines, relies on her income and the donations of few people in order to feed the 60 dogs in the shelter. The shelter transferred to a new location last August 2018. The new shelter needs money for the food of the dogs and the caretakers as well as money for materials and construction.

The other shelter in Bataan, Philippines is owned by Jonah. She also relies on few donors for her continuous care of the 70+ dogs and 28 cats living in her shelter. The typhoons that recently hit Bataan were the most difficult challenges for Jonah. The strong winds and rain caused floods in the province which made it more inconvenient for the dogs in the shelter. Aside from the food for the dogs, part of the donations will be used for the construction of dog houses.

The donations, aside from what was mentioned, will be used for the food, the dogs' veterinary needs, cleaning materials, caretaker salaries, transportation, and for a planned sustainability program for the shelters in the future.

Both shelters are short on budget and in need of financial aid as soon as possible.
