Help them cover their heads – People Lost their Shelter in Amphan

Cyclone Amphan, hit West Bengal on May 20,2020. More than 100 human lives (man, woman, children) along with unknown number of animals and birds were lost during this disaster. Actual human casualties are still unknown.

Even the old people said they have never seen such a disaster in their whole life.

Apart from the causalities it did Amphan moved affecting over 10 million people in the eastern Indian state. The powerful storm ripped through eastern India and neighboring Bangladesh. The storm in West Bengal caused massive damage to standing crops, thousands of trees were uprooted, and power and water supply was interrupted in the state capital Kolkata.
Many in the state have lost their entire homes as well.

You can see in the images, how frightful this catastrophe was. Wind over the speed of 160 Kmph shattered the houses, uprooted trees which damaged houses near them. A large number of families lost their houses and now they have no shelter. All their things were damaged, nothing left.

We are trying to help people as much as possible in restoring their homes so they can at least have a shelter over their head.
This requires efforts from all of us.

We request you to come forward and join your hands with us in helping the people to get their homes back. We cannot take away their pains but as humans we can feel the conditions and their state.
