We need a Christmas miracle to stay in our house!
Four years ago, I finally separated from a husband that abused not only me, but our (at the time) five children. Leaving us penniless and me without work, our car was repossessed and house went into foreclosure. It took me months to get a job and over a year to get any support from him. I worked my butt off to get the house out of foreclosure but I did. 

Then in 2010 a car ran a stop sign and I had a herniated disk in my neck as well as a torn shoulder, back and hip injuries. I sustained a brain injury where I was unable to speak and put things together. I have been unable to work. Last September 2012 another car ran a red light and I was left with a second brain injury where I lost motor control of my left side. 

Through all of this my ex has been on again off again with child support and on top of this has nothing to do with our children. This past April, he once again quit paying support. I went through all of my savings to pay the mortgage and bills and by July could no longer pay. We must have a certain sized apartment by law and we can barely afford a 1 bedroom at this point. We are in this mess because child support of $1200 stopped in April. I am only cleared by the doctor to work 10-15 hours, so I took a part time job in October. But it’s still not enough to pay to get the house out of foreclosure, although we can pay the mortgage now. We need to come up with $6000, plus lawyer fees. (The bank adds their lawyer fees when a home goes into foreclosure, unfortunately.) This is the only possibility to stay in the house. Otherwise it goes up for sheriff's sale in January. 

What worries me most is that we have nowhere to go.

I was able to modify and we got the house out of foreclosure. I have not missed one payment until I could no longer pay this July. I wiped out our entire savings paying the mortgage and the bills.
