Most people know this man and if you don’t you should. One of my first memories of Zach aka "Red Beard” is him walking into the bar I worked at and giving all of the servers $20 dollars because it was slow and he understood the struggle. Red Beard will always give his last dollar and shirt, shoes, even underwear to a complete stranger that is just the kind of guy he is. This is why we need to "pay it forward" because he has done it so many times to others. He had a good stable job then he was hit with a broken back. He was an active fun loving guy before and was constantly taking his best friend out, his dog, gizmo, spreading love everywhere. Due to the extensive pain in his back Zach was out of work for 4 months. This is when the bills stared accumulating..... then to make things even more tough, life threw him another curveball. Zach went to go have back surgery and was told his appendix needed to be removed as soon as possible. Without that surgery he was now facing more pain and possibly death. Zach had no choice other than to have his appendix surgically removal. Two weeks later after the recovery from his appendix surgery Zach had his back surgery. I saw Red Beard two days later still with the same high spirits as always. Actually he was trying to pick up other peoples tabs at the bar even though he was not drinking, and had no money from not working and his new medical bills. Regardless this man puts everything before himself. This man not only worries about other peoples' happiness as always, but actively tries to fix their problems. Zach being out of work from both surgeries plus the immense amount of pain has prevented himself from making an income. Red Beard is now being evicted from his home and has excessive amount of bills. He has always opened his home to everyone in need and will still continue too. He just currently started a new job but because of his debt he is struggling getting on top of all these bills, he needs help even though he won’t ask. This man and his glorious beard strive to help all and he still is continuing to give his last dollar to the need. This is the kind of guy we need to all pull together to help. We are not asking for much but anything will help. $3000 will help him not be evicted and put a very small dent in his bills. For every dollar donated Zach and Gizmo will without a doubt pay it forward again because this is just the kind of people and pup they are.
