Help The poor people of bangladesh

This year, we are raising funds to provide underprivileged families in remote villages of Bangladesh with grocery packages. These packages will provide them with staple items to last an entire month. We are aiming to provide support for at least 200 families, and we need your help!

As a direct result of your generous donations the past two years, we were able to support an orphanage in Gazipur, Bangladesh, allowing for a safer, healthy, and comfortable environment for the children. We were also able to raise over $5000 with which we were able to provide groceries and sanitary items for nearly 200 underprivileged families in remote villages of Bangladesh.

Additionally, for the past 6 months, we’ve been collecting funds from generous private donors to build water pumps for various struggling communities, orphanages, and mosques throughout Bangladesh. This year, we are counting on your donations to create an even greater impact during these testing times.

The Problem

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused a lot of chaos around the globe and has made living conditions difficult for many. It has been especially difficult for individuals and families who come from poverty and live in hand-to-mouth conditions. Bangladesh in particular is a country that is affected by natural disasters, overpopulation, and impoverishment. COVID-19 has made it increasingly difficult for families already living in poverty, to make ends meet.

In order to provide our support, we have started this initiative to collect funds for the orphans, families, and other less fortunate folk in Bangladesh who are suffering from the economic implications of COVID-19. With your donations we will be providing families with grocery items and food. With just $40, you will be providing staple food items to a family for an entire month! We are accepting Zakah, Fidiah, Sadakah and regular donations for the less fortunate.

It is our mission to ensure that less fortunate folks are provided with basic necessities, and do not go to bed on an empty stomach. By making a monetary donation, we can help share some of our many privileges with those struggling in Bangladesh. Food packages will include staple items such as flour, rice, sugar, cooking oil, etc. Please see below for details of our grocery packages.

To support one family for approximately 1 month it will cost:

Peas 1 kg = 65TK

Tang 250 gm = 160TK

Potato 2 Kgs = 50Tk

Onion 2 Kgs = 80Tk

Lentils 2 Kgs = 140Tk

Oil 1 kg = 100Tk

Dates 1 kg = 250Tk

Powder milk 500gm = 325Tk

Total cost = 2610Tk
