Campaign Story
A favela is the term for a slum in Brazil, most often within urban areas. Despite their proximity to urban Rio de Janeiro, the city did not extend sanitation, electricity, or other services to the favelas. They became associated with extreme poverty and were considered a headache to many citizens and politicians within Rio. This is a much repeated story in Rio, a resort city that has long been home both to the super-rich and the migrant poor, who move into slums that are then developed as soon as the land becomes valuable, often forcing them into homelessness or the occupation of derelict buildings or unused land. As the Major cities of brazil wants to eradicate the poor favelas, Me and my volunteer group wants to make a change for them. I really wanna help those people in need, those homeless persons and street children who has nothing to eat or a home. I volunteer to a volunteer network who has a program in helping the favelas through community outreach, orphan care and Education. Please help me and my friends to donate something for them and a fund for me to go to Brazil to help those needy favelas. every dollar counts and it will make a difference! share and be blessed!
