Campaign Story
Super Typhoon Odette (Rai - International name) has brought extreme devastation to many cities and municipalities in the Visayas and Mindanao region. Most people in these region celebrated Christmas without clean water, electricity, and food in their tables. The locals of Kabankalan and Sipalay were the ones who faced the extreme effects of the Supertyphoon in the province of Negros Occidental. Up to date, there is still no electricity most areas, many people doesn't have access to clean water as pipelines were also damaged. Food is scarce and some people celebrated Christmas mourning for their loved ones who didn't survived the destructive Super Typhoon.
I am setting up this fundraising for the victims. The donations will be given to people who were most affected and the ones who needed help the most. We'll use the donations to buy food, hygiene kits, water, and clothes for the victims. We are also planning to buy some solar panels for charging as there is still no power supply in most areas in Negros Occidental and Bohol. LGUs says it may take one to two months before the power supply gets restored.
It's Christmas time and I am knocking your kind hearts to show the essence of Christmas. Simple acts of kindness can go a long way for the victims. We want to at least give some help to the people who needs help the most before New year so they can at least have a smile on their faces.
Below are some photos that shows how destructive the Supertyphoon was.
