Campaign Story
Kim Huynh, she is a teammate of mine and at 32 weeks of pregnancy in the mid of June. The baby supposed to be born by the first week of August. 6/18, she unfortunately got massively bleeding at night and then delivered a baby boy 4 hours after checking-in hospital. The baby weighed 3.5lbs and needed to stay in ICU in a month. Day 5 after giving birth, as the current maternity hospital fee is way too expensive, Kim must have transferred her baby to a public child hospital where is 35-40 minutes drive from her home. The baby still in ICU and got diagnosed septicemia 1 day after transferred. Yesterday 6/29, the doctors said he has high white blood cell count that potentially affect brain cells. He is now being treated a high dose of antibiotics and under close watching.
Kim's financial and mental health is really tough. The first hospital bill took her VND58,000,000 (~$2,490) just for 4 days. It already is a huge amount but Kim still has a long way to go, especially now that her son got septicemia. In the second hospital, no room and bed for the mother, Kim lies, sleeps in the hospital hall, 24/24 as she was asked to feed the baby milk every 3 hours (8 times per day, non-stop) and to be always available whenever the doctors ask for. It's been 12 days from the date of giving birth, Kim has never rested.
As her colleague, alongside encouraging and motivating, the very first time, I create this GoGetFunding campaign would like to call for your empathy and to support Kim financially.
I'm so grateful and appreciated you reading the story, sharing your care and support by funding her.
On behalf of Kim, wish you all the best.
Khue.
