The dogs on the island of Providenciales, Turks and Caicos need our help. If you follow me or any of the Biermanns on Snapchat, you've met the two homeless dogs we've befriended on the island. These are just two of hundreds of homeless dogs in need of help. There are many challenges to reducing the number of homeless pets on the island, but Potcase Place, a local rescue org, is doing everything they can with limited resources. They are completely volunteer based and rely on private donations from people like you to continue to operate.
Potcase Place provides shelter to 50-75 dogs at a time and works with vets to vaccinate, treat and spay/neuter dogs on the island. Spaying and neutering pets on the island is difficult; there is only one vet on the island, and it is very expensive for vets from other places to provide services. Potcake Place is best known for their 'play with a dog for a day' program where tourists socialize with dogs during their stay.
