HELP our CHILDREN Ministry. Become part of us build a strong foundation for the underprivileged Children & Young Musicians. We believe that our children are our future leaders. In line with this, we need to crowdfund for the various needs of our Children’s Ministry. Among these are: Sunday School Rooms Building Project (construction is ongoing), Vehicle, Teaching Materials, Child Evangelism needs, Sunday School Class Supplies, among others. ABOUT BBC LUMBOCAN

We are a small Baptist Church in a poor and remote area by the seaside in Barangay Lumbocan, Butuan City, Philippines; Yet, we have a huge vision to grow and expand God’s work through our church in terms of membership and its physical building (the place of our gatherings).

We particularly aim to help shape and build a strong foundation to the lives of the less privileged children and young ones in our community through Sunday School, Community Teachings, Children's various activities and through Music. Please read more about our “Mission” below.

AS THE ORGANIZER OF THIS CAMPAIGN

Although I am not actually a resident of this place, I am however a member of this small church just like my brother (who is the church Pastor). My heart goes to the people in the area and I fully support the Pastor's compassion and vision for this less fortunate community.

ON THE VALUE OF GIVING

Giving to ministries like this, is an immense opportunity and a privilege. We believe that when we give, we acknowledge that God is the giver of everything we have, reflects our trust that He will continue to provide for us, and allows us to be a part of His work here on earth. It’s something we should do with happiness and joy to be a part of the lives of these 'young ones' that we consider, the 'Future Leaders' in our society.

We should have giving hearts. After all, we do not own the resources that we have now. We are just STEWARDS of these! Not to mention that we are also just pilgrims in this world. We have “Only one short life on earth and for certain, it will soon pass; and we believe that only what’s done for Christ will last”. Thus, it’s wise invest on eternal investments like this. So why not give back to our society and for God's work today and be a part of us in this ministry.

GOD does NOT NEED our money. What He needs is our attitude in GIVING and for having COMPASSIONATE hearts for people specially for the less privileged ones and for the lost souls.

OUR FUNDRAISING OBJECTIVES

As mentioned earlier, this fundraising and or crowdfunding campaign is to support our Children Ministry. Majority of the parents of these children have no real regular jobs and no fixed incomes.

As the current Director of our Children Ministry, I would like to help raise funds for the pressing needs of this department. This will be an ongoing crowd funding though, as we aim to continuously grow and expand the activities and projects of these ministries to help better the lives of the children and help them hone their crafts, their music skills and other talents and help them get closer to the Lord and to faithfully serve Him.

OUR MISSION

Our mission is to evangelize the word of God to these children and help them win for Christ.

engage the children in our community, regardless if they are members or non-members of the church; those who are at-risk children on the streets and without homes; to help them divert their attentions from drugs, illegal activities, possible juvenile crimes; so they can realize the value of life and their future; their educational and career potential in the future; and be able to contribute to the stability, safety and well-being of our community; and to be closer to God. To glorify God is our ultimate goal.
