Campaign Story
Ah Meow (what we call her) is a community cat that was apparently abandoned by her owner. Besides hanging out at the ground floor, she would always come up to level 5, where we stay, to meow for food and keep us company. She would come up every night without fail.
One night, she did not appear. She only appeared in the evening next day, lying on the chair motionlessly. She refused to eat or be touched. She was whining in pain, then we realised she had a fractured leg and bleeding nose. Immediately we called SPCA to pick her up.
After a week or so, I called SPCA to check on her status. To my horror, the doctor said that the fracture, most probably caused by a vehicle accident, was so bad that amputation would be the obvious solution. Ah meow had been with us for many years and we care for her like our own. We really do not wish to see her lose a leg. After discussing, SPCA suggested to arrange for a specialist to see her but I would have to bear the consultation and surgery fee, as this was not the usual procedure that SPCA would take to help an animal recover. The consultation fee is $200+, and the surgery would cost $3300 to $3500. On top of that, the doctor informed that her condition is complicated and there might be implications after the surgery.
A little bit about myself; my father was diagnosed with lung cancer stage 3 a couple of months ago and we are currently caring for him at home. As a result, my savings are draining and I would foresee that my expenses will only increase over the upcoming months and years... I desperately seek for your kind help to make Ah Meow able and healthy once again.
This is Ah Meow before the accident... A dislocation should not cause her to become three-legged. Please help her by sharing the post or donating. She needs to have the surgery asap.. 🙏

Update posted by Cry Cry at 02:04 pmFinally, I've managed to get the X-ray scans from SPCA. I was under the impression that they had already arrange for the specialist to see her, but no. Hence, I've called them again to book a consultation with the specialist, Dr McGuire from Beecroft. He will be seeing ah Meow. . . . .
