Help the Argos Strays

We are a small team of people that rescues and gives medical aid to doggies that are constantly abandoned in our town and nearby areas. We mostly find them with terrible injuries from car accidents or in very poor health with untreated diseases. At the moment, we provide sanctuary to 70 doggies that we have rescued from the streets. Each one carries its own sad story. We are very unhappy since no longer we can afford their vaccinations or to cover other medical needs. The financial crisis in Greece has made people much poorer and the donations are few and far between and it is one of the reasons that more dogs are abandoned in the streets. We want to raise funds so we can vaccinate all our doggies (20 euros per vaccine), treat them for parasites such as ticks, fleas and worms (30 euros per year) and also we want to raise money to give a more expencive treatment to our 8 doggies that have been diagnosed with leismaniosis. Leismaniosis is a disease that spreads from the body to the organs of the animal. The main organ systems affected are the skin, kidneys, spleen, liver, eyes, and joints. There is also commonly a skin reaction, with lesions on the skin, and hair loss. The treatment for each dog costs 150 euros but it will give our doggies a much brighter future. In total we need to raise 4700 euros. No matter how much we love these dogs, in this case love is just not enough. We want to offer them the best we can. Please help us.
