Help Tereza get to the University

Hello, everyone!

My name is Tereza. I grew up in Czech republic - a little country in the middle of Europe. There were two factors that influenced me the most when I was young:

Instead of hearing 'You can be whatever you want' I was encouraged to follow a career that provides good money.

My self-esteem was very low. I didn't realize it back then but I kept hurting myself with my own thoughts.

So, following what I was told to do, I attended the University of Economics in Prague.

The career I’ve chosen disappointed me very quickly and the future I was supposed to chase after graduating was all gray and cold to me. I fell into severe depressions, spent most of my days in bed googling pictures of happy people and nice places around the world.

The good part about being a college student is that you can take part in many different programs. I chose the Work and Travel program in the U.S. and loved it so much that I came back two more times. My yearly trips to the States were giving me the strength to stay in school and survive the school year.

Traveling taught me a lot of things. But most importantly I started gaining self-confidence. I saw that people can be happy and that anything is possible. I realized chasing money doing what I hate is never going to work for me and that I want to fight for a good life.

I decided to turn my life around completely. I applied for the University of Hawaii at Hilo to become a Marine Scientist and with Heaven's help, I was actually accepted! Me, a girl lost in the world, just trying to chase her dreams!

Traveling also taught me to never give up. I'm 10000% determined to fulfill my dreams. I will not sit on my couch whining about the cruelty of life. I will get up and fight for my passions no matter what!

The only problem is, I don't come from a wealthy family and I haven't made my fortune yet (I'm just about to graduate from the economic school this year in june, I want to finish what I started.). But I believe that If you have a dream and are willing to do whatever it takes to make it happen, the whole Universe will come together and help you. (Paolo Coelho)

So I call the 'whole Universe': Please help me pay for the school. Help me make my dreams come true! I don't want to be scared to live my life the way I want, I want to make it happen!

I never asked anybody for anything. I worked very hard to pay for all my trips and life myself. But for the first time in my life, I need help with the financing part. Unfortunately, I don't have enough time to make money for this one, they need me to pay everything in advance.

I decided that's not going to stop me. I'm not going to stop and give up because 'it's too expensive'. I will fight and do whatever it takes. And then one day, I will enter that University campus gate and smile up to the sky drowning in gratitude.

I believe in life and people's good hearts.

I kindly ask you here today, please contribute to make one girl's life shiny and colorful. Please help me make the life of my dreams happen. I will be grateful to the moon and back.
