HELP TEAM DIANI KENYA
Tourism and travel has directly been affected by the CoronaVirus (COVID19) Pandem.
The livelihoods of the the coastal region of Kenya whose economy entirely depends on tourism has been turned upside down. Domestic and International market for clients has been affected with travel ban, quarantine, stay in place and flights suspended.
Many hotels, resorts, cottages, apartments, cafeterias, restaurants, bars and villas have furloughed or fired their staff or workers without benefits.
Industry related businesses like transportation (taxis and the popular uk tuks), airline, safaris, salons and therapeutic services have taken a hit.
Even the gift shops have closed.
With the whole region on partial lockdown in the form of cessation of travel as well as the dusk -to- dawn curfew by the Government, life is complete unbearable.
Our own staff of 100+ have been directly impacted as our associated travel and hospitality services are no longer in demand.
As he nation and indeed the world takes preventive measures and the researchers and scientists find try their very best to find a vaccine, the world will continue to remain on the edge.
Therefore, on behalf of our team, I appeal for humanitarian support to help our team meet their bills, secure food, pays rent and some of them relocate or resettle as well as children under our support.
We shall list all beneficiaries.
