Hi, I am Genina. I am organizing a fundraising for my Mama Marina Arceo. She was brought to the hospital last April 16, 2021. She experienced shortness of breath, hallucinations, and mental confusion. Her oxygen sat dropped at 79%. For days, she cannot barely eat food because of her stomach ache. She was diagnosed positive in Covid-19 Pneumonia. She is still in the hospital up to this day, fighting against the virus. She was given high flow oxygen (100%) so she can increase her oxygen sat. Without it, her oxygen sat drops at 70%. Up to this day, she's still dependent on her oxygen machine. She is also being fed through NGT. Her doctors won’t allow her to eat because it might just go to her lungs and she might had a hard time breathing.

She was given remdesivir but my mother’s response to that antibiotic is slow so we have to try another antibiotic, which is Tocilizumab. Remdesivir costs P15,000 per vial while Tocilizumab costs P39,000 per vial (Originally, it’s P49,000 but because my mother is a senior citizen, we got a discount.). She received two yesterday (April 23) and her doctor advise to give two more (April 25). If Tocilizumab will not make her better, our last option will be the hemoperfusion which costs around P70,000 to P80,000 per session. These are all paid in cash and not included in the total hospital bill. It’s like we have to pay at that moment or we may lose the chance to get that antibiotics as they are really in high demand. In fact, Tocilizumab was out of stock last week.

Her doctors said that she improved after receiving 2 doses of Tocilizumab. They always say to us that “mahaba talaga itong gamutan.” My mother has pre-existing conditions and this is why it will take time for her to recover but the improvement is a good sign. She will have her third dose of Tocilizumab tonight (April 25).

Our hospital bill is already at P700,000. Today (April 25 is her 10th day in the hospital. This is why I am asking for help to pay for my mother’s hospital bills. I am also humbly asking to include her fast recovery on your prayers. I know that we all have our own financial obligations especially during this situation. But I believe that no amount is too small and I’m doing this for her to recover and so she can go home.

I'd like to thank you for all your prayers and donations. Our Mama Marina joined our Creator last night, April 26, 2021. Hope you can continue praying for her soul. The money raised here and offline will still be used to pay for her hospital bills. I am keeping this
