Help Tamtam Talk

• Greetings of Peace and Joy!

I am knocking on your generous hearts to help my three-year old son start his Speech Therapy as he has been diagnosed with Autism this year. I am a registered nurse in the Philippines and I am one of the many who is working hard but is paid so little. I barely earn 10,000 pesos per month. My partner takes care of our two sons and we are renting a place to stay. I am still grateful that we are able to feed them and give them their needs every single day. However, we are blessed with a child with special needs. He just turned 3 last December 14. He mumbles incomprehensible words but still cannot even say mama or papa. He does not interact with kids his age. He has those hand-flapping movements and he turns his eyes in opposite directions. What I hate the most are his tantrums and meltdowns. We are not able to handle those properly because most of the time we are unable to get what he is trying to express because he cannot talk. I hate seeing him cry.

Still he is a happy child. We wanted him to talk. We wanted him to express what he likes to say. I tried all the interventions to let him speak, but I guess that I am not expert in that field. I feel sorry for my son. As much as I wanted him to take the therapy as early as now, but we cannot cover the finances.
