Help Sustain News Ghana as a Voice for More Ghanaians

Good day ladies and gentlemen. My name is Roger Agana and I am a co-founder and representative of News Ghana. As a matter of fact, News Ghana is a Ghanaian independent news portal owned by the organization called M'ideas Group. In actuality, the primary aim of News Ghana is to disseminate latest and genuine news devoid of any form of sentiment, while also providing a platform for the general public to contribute through comments and at the same time express their feelings through the react icons.

According to several research studies, the rapid transformation of traditional print media which mostly consisted of faceless and nameless people into online portals have helped in reshaping communication flow between the government and those that are governed. The truth is that, to a large extent the online portal gives access to direct interaction between politicians and the people using social media. So unlike newspaper, magazine, and the rest of the print media; online portal has the potential of delivering a wider coverage as well as encourage elaboration of information for clearer understanding as a result of the availability of space. Therefore, in order to cope with the ever increasing level of information and technological advancement, our organization came up with an idea which eventually brought News Ghana into existence.

For almost a decade now News Ghana have been known for offering services such as news analysis, documentary and Business News, sports news, the list is endless. In News Ghana, the topics that are mostly focused on are corruption and governance, justice and human rights, developmental issues in Africa, investment in Africa's infrastructure, health and education, energy, transportation, etc. Like I stated earlier, since News Ghana is an online platform, it has helped the general public have a say about public policies, and at the same time contribute towards bringing the positive changes that they desire in the country. However, with the high rate of traffic recorded by the portal, the financial strength for this project is becoming much of a burden to the organization. In essence, this is where your presence and support is of immense importance.

Well, due to the level of commitment and consistency, News Ghana is currently one of the most visited news portal in Ghana with over 200,000 average daily visits. Howbeit, as the platform is growing in capacity and gaining much recognition, so many things also must be put in place to enhance its continuity. For instance, to prevent the portal from malfunctioning or breaking down, more professionals should be employed such as app and web developers, graphic designers, content and creative writers, media strategists, journalists, SEO experts, servers and others. So on that note, after careful evaluation with our team, our request for this project is $200,000. This amount is specifically to help fix the portal to standard in order to achieve our goal of being an outstanding voice for the entire society.
