Update: After almost 2 years of Covid, Indonesias borders remain closed for tourism. Although the covid numbers look promising and Balis full vaccination rate is close to 70%, the government is very careful in opening up the country, especially with the current development in Europe.
After several requests from our guests we have decided to "revive" our donation campaign. Thank you very much for your support for our staff and their families.
Lets all hope that 2022 will bring a much needed change and we will be able to welcome you all back at alamBatu - Beach Bungalow Resort...
We wish you all happy holidays!!!
2020 has been a very challenging and difficult year for most people. The COVID19 pandemic has changed so much in our everyday lives. Many things we took for granted are no longer possible or very limited.
Being in the hospitality industry. alamBatu - Beach Bungalow Resort, has been very heavily effected by the pandemic. As Indonsia's borders closed by the end of March 2019, we were forced to temporarily close the resort and reduce the activity to a minimum.
The whole staff of alamBatu is still working to ensure that the resort stays in top shape until re-opening is possible. This is only possible with very reduced working times and salaries but we are committed to overcome this difficult times together.
Most of our 45 employees have been with us from the very beginning 15 years ago. All donations go directly to the staff and will make a big difference in providing for their families....
Thank you very much for your support and we hope to welcome you back at alamBatu - Beach Bungalow Resort soon!
Stay safe, Merry Christmas & happy New Year
