Help support rural poor single families to get better livelihood

Please help to support Women Grow Uganda. With your donations we will be able to receive online training from our USA based partner farm in Ohio, Blue Rock Station. They will provide the needed skills, knowledge and information on livestock health, record keeping, budgeting, customer relations, marketing and other topics to ensure our ability to grow a sustainable and profitable farm enterprise. This training will be provided to five identified women who will then share their knowledge as they educate over 200 rural, unprivileged but, highly motivated women. This opportunity will offer them a valuable skill and path out of abject poverty.

The funds collected will be used to purchase chicken parent stocks, fertilized eggs, disinfectants, construct chicken shelters, purchase chicken medications and vacines, chicken mash, equipment, power, internet and computers for learning purposes, and chicken tractors. After the training is completed, women will be assisted with starting poultry businesses. This will create a multiplier effect and it is our goal to help the poor mothers improve their livelihoods through incomes from eggs and meat sales. It will also provide much needed nutrition and health for those living with HIV/AIDS. We will build cap acity and create jobs for the jobless, single mothers by helping to improve their social economic status and human rights within their communities.
