Help Support Lebanese Crisis through HOPE WW charity

This fundraiser page was created to help a great charitable work done by the HOPE WW LEBANON that i personally know and have work in the UK branch as a volunteer when i was working in England back in 2000-2002.

A little about Lebanon:

For nearly 18 months now, Lebanon has been assailed by compounded crises—specifically, an economic and financial crisis, followed by COVID-19 and, lastly, the explosion at the Port of Beirut on August 4, 2020 that destroided the city and millions of dreams while killing more than 200 people.

Beyond the human tragedy, the impact of the Port of Beirut explosion has had implications at the national level. These add to Lebanon’s long-term structural vulnerabilities, which include low-grade infrastructure—a dysfunctional electricity sector, water supply shortages, and inadequate solid waste and wastewater management—as well as weak public financial mismanagement, large macroeconomic imbalances, and deteriorating social indicators.

The economic crisis has had by far the largest (and most persistent) negative impact. Lebanon is enduring a severe, prolonged economic depression, inflation reached triple digits, while the exchange rate keeps losing value. Poverty is rising sharply.

In the middle of this unpresidented disaster, there is a group of dedicated christian local communty that tries its best to bring some hope to the afflicted.

I have worked as a volunteer in the HOPE WW while i was living in UK and i can assure you it has won many awards for trustworthiness,ethics and financial clarity.

Our neighbour country is so close to the Greek traditions and lifestyle we feel them like brothers. We feel for them seeing them suffer this unexpected disaster and we try to do anything we can to get them see alittle glimplse of hope through your help.
