Help Super Mom Pay Son’s Hospital Bills

So, I have this best friend, Lauren, who is a Total Rockstar Mom. She's a single mother, and seriously the epitome of Super Mom! Here is where she is right now in life......

She was taking steps towards that degree she's always wanted so she can stop working the job she doesn't enjoy & doesn't pay enough. Recently, she applied for & got a grant that will fund most of her college education! She was so excited to start enrolling in classes! And then, her son, Nicholas (5 years old), needed to have an sudden, unforeseen surgery. And a couple weeks later, she received the hospital bill for thousands of dollars she owes. Now she's planning to put her education on hold...again...and give up her precious evenings with her son to get a second job. She was already spread so thin...

Being a single mom is a full time job in and of itself. Lauren's gone through a lot, including a messy divorce & (constant) fight for child support payments, dealing with an ex husband who, for lack of better terms, is a total dead beat who views being a father as a "burden", and now this...

Lauren still stands tall and does whatever she can to make her son feel loved, safe, and confident. To everyone around her, she is a tower of strength, but she doesn't feel strong internally. Jesus is her only anchor of Hope getting her thru each day.

She is an amazing person who deserves a big Pick-Me-Up. She is not one for charity, and would not be happy with me if she knew I started this fundraiser for her, but I always tell her I wish I could do more to make things easier for her.

I don't know if this will work, but please help me take some weight off of my bestie's shoulders so she can pursue her education and not worry about how she is going to pay these medical bills!
