Save lives in Ukraine

Hi everyone, my name is Olivia Boychak and I’m a 6th year student living in Ireland with my Ukrainian family. Both of my parents are Ukrainian doctors, working in Ireland for the past 20 years. Visting my grandparents every year in Ukraine has left me with many unforgettable memories like visiting historical places, trying various Ukrainian cuisines and of course having fun with my cousins and friends.

As you are no doubt aware, there is a now a serious humanitarian crisis in Ukraine and they desperately need help. Me and my brother (David, 15y/o) are trying to raise enough money to buy an Ambulance to help the suffering citizens of Ukraine. Families are being divided, fathers are going off to fight in the war, mothers are helping at soup kitchens and children are in bunkers for hours without any lights or food.

Children hospitals and homes have been bombed by Russian forces, ambulances have been run over by Russian tanks and Ukrainian civilians have been taken hostage by the Russian army.

As a result, we need your help to raise desperately needed funds to buy an Ambulance to save Ukrainian lives. The ambulance will be kindly delivered to Ukraine by a Ukrainian driver living in Ireland who has kindly volunteered to do so. With the help of our dad and his team at the Medical Help Ukraine (https://www.irishtimes.com/news/ireland/irish-news/ukrainian-doctors-in-ireland-overwhelmed-after￾over-100-000-is-raised-in-a-day-for-aid-1.4816849) we plan to buy a second-hand refurbished Ambulance for an approximately €20,000.

Unfortunately, we cannot do this on our own which is why we turn to you for aid in these desperate times of need. All the money that we raise will go directly to buying the ambulance. The ambulance will also be fully stocked with medical supplies and baby food for children in Ukraine which they are currently lacking. We are incredibly grateful to all the Irish people who have kindly donated money and supplies to date.
