Campaign Story
The badger cull of 2019 is now underway and once again we need help with a number of projects to enable people in the field to get out there and do as much as they can to save lives.
Firstly we always need help with fuel money, the more ground we can cover the more shooters we can disrupt and the more cages we can find.
We have a drone that has thermal imaging capabalities, meaning we can spot shooters and possibly badgers caught in cages, that drone only needs a small battery for the thermal imaging FLIR camera and should be up and running very soon.
Our vehicle broke down in a cull zone last night, we have full recovery so got home a bit later than expected but thankfully no major headache and it's looking like a fuel injector so shouldn't be very expensive, it's def not the head gasket as that was fixed earlier this year at great expense. We are hoping for a courtesy car from the garage later in the week but that isn't certain so we want to hire a car today for 1 week.
As always we are working hard on getting national press and are very hopeful of getting some very strong video footage out today or tomorrow into mainstream media, thankfully that doesn't cost us anything to get done.
We also now have some Innocent enamel badges and everyone who donates £10 or more will recieve one in the post. They are 30mm height (just over an inch)
Some other important news, our facebook page www.facebook.com/stop.the.cull which has over 100,000 likes has been seriously limited and no posts on it are going into peoples news feeds, it's some sort of restriction which we think may last for a few weeks but we aren't sure. So we have set up a back up page which recieved over 1,500 likes in the first day. We will never stop fighting for badgers, if one route is blocked we will find another.
The backup page is www.facebook.com/stop.the.cull.2019
please do pop over and give the page a like and if you comment on a post, you are more likely to get more of our posts come into your timeline.
if you want to find your local group to get involved with stopping the cull, please drop this page a note telling them where you are in the country and they will hook you up wtih your nearest active group:

Good luck out there to everyone in the fields, stay safe.

Update posted by Freeda Brocks at 06:16 pmLast week when our car broke down in the middle of a cull zone over a hundred miles from home, it was a bit of a blow, thankfully we have a decent recovery plan (we seem to be getting good value from it as it was only £45 for the. . . . .
