I opened Stewart's Auto & Tire on May 1st, 20015 to provide for my family and I. I have a wife and six children to support. Since opening, I have run into one downfall after another and am needing someone to help keep my proprietorship afloat just long enough to get our name out there and to help establish capital.

In 2009 I was debilitated from a work related injury and was unable to return to work and provide for my family. Three major surgeries later and extensive physical therapy, approximately 2 years later, I began milking for my parents dairy to try to make ends meet. I milked for them for 4 years and was presented, with what I thought was a saving grace for my family. A life-long friend offered to open up an auto and tire shop in our home town. The partnership only lasted less than 3 weeks and we decided to part ways. I was eager to start again and thought I could, but the funding wasn't there. I was optimistic and opened anyway in hopes customers would flood my shop.

When first opening the shop I knew I needed an employee to aid with some of the services we offer; but unfortunately I had not generated enough revenue to pay anyone. I was grateful when a family-friend offered to work FREE of pay until I could get the business established. I declined as I could expect anyone to work for free. He insisted and against my request, shows up to work every day.

I opened Stewart’s Auto and Tire on May 5th 2015, and had a Grand Opening on May 16th, 2015. When we decided to have an official Grand Opening to get our name out there and gain exposure to the community, I was scraping for money to advertise it. I was inevitably grateful to a family-friend surprising me with an ad in the local newspaper.

Then to my demise I was in a motorcycle accident the night before the Grand Opening. I initially declined going to the hospital due to the cost and lack of insurance, but reluctantly went. I laid in the hospital bed that night worrying about how I was going to continue to strive to provide for my family, let alone get through the Grand Opening just a few short hours from then. Fortunately I had my wife, 6 children and the help from a few close friends there to help push me through. We had a decent turn out and things were starting to look up.

It’s been 2 weeks since the Grand Opening and we have not been able to bring in the revenue as we had hoped due to lack of exposure. I have exhausted all of my resources as of now and am humbly asking for help to keep us going until we can get established. I need money to advertise, a few pieces of equipment, but mostly help with the bills to keep the doors open. I know I have the ability, drive and skill set to make this business a success, I just need a little help to get me through this rough patch. I, my wife and family friends have looked endlessly to obtain grants to get off the ground and have not found anything.

This is very hard for me to ask for help, but I am out of options and need desperately for someone to help. My family and friends have also exhausted all extra help they can provide. I am more than willing to let anyone know my skill set and qualifications, feel free to email me at[email protected] and I will answer any questions you may have. I, my wife and 6 children thank you for taking the time to consider donating to a business with the potential to succeed.
