For generations, Spanish families are producing wine from the Tempranillo grape and are dedicated to it. I have been helping my family during the harvesting season my whole life and I would like to help wine workers and producers to internationalize the Spanish region Ribera del Duero, give it the recognition it deserves and pay tribute to their hard work. Their wine has a classification of Denominación de Origen (D.O.). The highest one is D.O.C.a and there are only two regions with it, nevertheless, Ribera is the most aspiring region to get it, since their wines are on the same level, but the recognition outside of Spain is much lower.
Furthermore, Spain has the biggest amount of eco-friendly and organic vineyards in Europe. Due to the environmental issues, we would also like to expand the trend of eco-friendly wine as the production support multitude of environmental factors. It supports maintaining biodiversity, soil health, economic feasibility and the wines do not contain pesticides, GMO's, or any synthetic fertilizers. It leads to an overall decrease of contamination of the soil and protects the environment.
We would like to help the wineries close international deals, overcoming in this way, one of the main problems that the region is facing, the language barrier. To achieve it, we will create a wine broker company, that will connect them with clients from different, international markets. Furthermore, we will follow a strict internationalization plan, where several marketing strategies will be conducted to expand the knowledge about this specific region, sustainable wines, and the impact they have on our society. This action plan will include activities such as wine tastings, educational events, and digital marketing campaigns.
During the next two years, my associate and I will be living in Shangai to finish our education program, we are two students enrolled in a program called Euro-Asia Business Management, which consists of two years of education in Denmark, and the following two in Shangai, China, we finished the first two years already. For this reason, the Chinese and Asian markets will be our first focused markets. These markets are reaching high wine popularity, and they show enormous potential.
The amount of money collected will be used to get better legal advisory in terms of business relations in China. It will also help us to develop our marketing plan and invest in the physical events that might be conducted to reach visibility.
To get help for our project will mean the world to us, we are passionate about wine and sustainability, and to be able to lend a hand to the honest producers and increase the awareness of this outstanding region, at the same time that we are popularizing the sustainable lifestyle and helping the world health, is part of our dream.
