Did you know around 5 million people in Ghana live with a DISABILITY which is around a fifth of the population. Approximately 100,000 Ghanaian children aged 6-14 have a disability and more than 16,000 of these children are out of school. I have decided, with my parents support, to take the fall semester after high school and before I start College to follow my heart to Ghana to volunteer with these special kids. The Republic of Ghana, is a country located along the Gulf of Guinea and Atlantic Ocean, in the sub-region of West Africa. There are about 28.3 million people living in Ghana. I am very excited for this opportunity to live and volunteer there. I would be VERY GRATEFUL for any amount of donation you can spare to help me raise the amount of funds it will take to travel and to live in Ghana for six weeks.

Thank you so much Lori! You know everything she has been through to get to this point and truly believes this is what she needs to do. Her passion is being with these kids and leaving an impact on the world. I would prefer somewhere a bit closer but it’s not my journey. XO
