Help Sokkar & Gameela Reach Their Forever Homes!

As a puppy, Sokkar was left to die in an alleyway in Cairo, Egypt. Local children ran over his leg with a bicycle, nearly torturing him to death. After hours of crying in pain, Sokkar was discovered with a broken leg. His rescuer rushed him to the vet where he was immediately placed in a cast. Today, Sokkar is an energetic love bug who enjoys cuddling and playing outside. Sokkar has found his forever home in Canada, but he cannot get there without your help.

Gameela was a lonely stray dog on the streets of Egypt. Every day, poor Gameela was routinely attacked by the other street dogs and terrorized by neighborhood children. Her rescuer could not persuade Gameela to enter the house for days. Hungry and afraid, Gameela finally accepted food and water. Slowly but surely, Gameela began to trust her caregiver. Sweet Gameela has found her forever home in Canada, but she cannot get there without your help.

Living conditions for animals in Egypt are subpar, as they are routinely subject to abuse, abandonment, or neglect. It is not uncommon for people to toss animals out on the streets when the responsibility of owning a pet becomes too much for them, nor is it uncommon for children to torture them.
