Help Socks, my Pup, Breath Better

Hello,

My name is Allysa and I am here today to ask for some financial assistance to help support and give my wonderful Pup, Socks, the care and treatment he deserves. Unfortunately, Socks suffers from rather bad allergies that typical treatments (see: low cost generic allergy meds) aren't enough to treat, and unfortunately despite my families best efforts- we have not been able to get him the proper care to combat these allergies.

Based on past experience, there are treatment options including an allergy shot that will help him monumentally. This treatment tends to cost somewhere between $150-$200 however, and at this moment in time that is not within the realm of what we can be paying. As someone who suffers from pretty bad seasonal allergies, and asthma, I know my pup is having a hard time of it right now. Unfortunately he's been getting hot spots and sores caused by the excessive licking he does- as well as heavy congestion. While it comes and goes, he has a history of gnawing at his paws as a way of relieving itching and has even had to get treatment for the beginning of an infection caused by the licking he does. I have included pictures of current bad hot-spots he has that concern me.

While we've managed to treat these when they occur, treating the root cause of the problem would be both the best option for Socks and the most cost efficient in the long run. If anyone is willing to donate to help support us in being able to get him some help with this issue, it would be highly appreciated. We love and care for our pup so much. I don't want him to be suffering this way. Any money donated to this fundraiser would go to getting him allergy treatment and any care seen necessary.

If possible I would like to seek treatment for other issues he has, including Heartworm trearment and to inquire about neutering, but my primary focus at this time is to get his allergies under control. I'm trying to apply for assistance regarding his Heartworm treatment, but when it comes to the current issue of his skin allergies there are limited options I could look into.
