Campaign Story
Skye and Madison go back to school in Wyoming to a flooded apartment! Now, asbestos has been discovered in their 1969 built apartment. The govt has basically seized their apartment and they can not get ANY of their belongings! They are being released from their lease but as of January 12 they will no longer be in a hotel but will be in a brand new apartment but with NOTHING! They will only have the clothes that they brought back with them and a few items from Christmas. They are hoping to get back some of their things by the end of the week, but will not know for sure until later. We have been told from a family member trained in asbestos not expect anything "soft" back. This includes clothing, bedding, linensand some furniture. It's COLD VERY COLD in Cheyenne, Wyoming! They do not have a lot of clothes or warm clothes and they need them!
What a way to end Christmas break and start the New Year. But, they are positive and excited for their new place and their new semester of school. They just need a little help. Of course, they did not have renters insurance, they do now! Several of you asked to help so this page was set up because those of you here in Texas or not in Wyoming can help through here. Our Cheyenne family are also helping and we are soo grateful! THANK THANK THANK YOU for helping Skye and Madison! College kids are always poor and to add this to their plate makes it tough.
