Help “Siyah” at his battle with Leishmaniasis

Hello Good People of the World,

Siyah is my lovely dog, he is 6 years old and a Rottweiler. Unfortunately he has been diagnosed with Leishmaniasis, which is a deadly serious illness for dogs. Aside from complicated treatment procedure, we have been advised with euthanasia as an alternative. He used to weigh 60kg at his healthiest period, but the illness made him loose more than half of his bodyweight. He was 27kg when diagnosed with Leishmaniasis.

The treatment has started with many drugs and vitamins. It is also very unfortunate that this illness is quite rare in Turkey, for which we had to find necessary drugs outside of Turkey and imported most of them. In order to track the healing progress, Siyah has to go through regular tests to check his liver and blood. In addition to drugs and tests, Siyah needs to be fed with clinical food that needs to be consumed double the portion that he would normally require.

The treatment will last at least 7 months due to his condition and although I am trying my best, sadly, I do not think I would be able to manage whole process without financial support. During the course of his 7-month treatment, drugs, vitamins, tests, veterinary costs and clinical food would probably cost more than $6.000, but I would require $3.500 of it. I am working woman but I can hardly look after myself in todays standards. Therefore, I would kindly, and with a bit of embarrassment, ask for your valuable support at Siyah's quest against this horrible illness.

Please note, your past experience with the illness is as much valuable and I would like to hear your suggestions. Indeed, I would be more than happy to share all Siyah's test results, if requested.
