This summer, I plan to travel to São Paulo, Brazil to study Portuguese, business economics, Capoeira, and Samba classes for five weeks (June 15—July 20) at the University of Fundação Armando Alvares Penteado through the American Institute for Foreign Study (AIFS).
Currently, I am a college junior at El Camino College, Torrance. I intend to transfer to UCLA or USC where I will continue my foreign language studies abroad and major in international relations/economics with a minor in philosophy. Afterwards, I will study law (international human rights) at Stanford University or a university overseas (Costa Rica, France, or Germany) and become a global philanthropist, businesswoman, and human rights attorney.
I love opening my heart to the world, and I wish to make a great change some day in the educational and economic system of those less forunate in Brazil; so I must start small and work my way up to implement higher education for those living in the favelas and poor economic situations. In order to start now, I must travel to Brazil. Unfortunately, I am experiencing harsh economic times as well being a college student living with a struggling single mother and paying for school and books. I understand the economy is not completely stabilized yet; and everyone is undergoing various economic crisis; nonetheless, your donation would make my dream come alive! I truly hope that you are able to help me in this wonderful endeavor!
Take care, and I wish everyone a stupendous life :))
