Hi, my name is Kim and i'm counting down to my 20th birthday and have an AMAZING opportunity to travel to Dubai for an Emirates work placement to obtain practical training and experience in the aviation and security industry.
Currently i'm studying a double degree of Business and Science (Aviation), minoring in Intelligence/Security in Perth, Australia which is so complimentary of this placement. This experience is one in a lifetime and is in one of the fastest growing cities in the world where i'll also get the chance to make important industry contacts and interact within such a diverse country!
Words cannot explain how thrilling the idea of this trip is for me.
I'm currently trying to raise money for my living expenses whilst on this trip. Emirates will sponsor my flights and my daily transport as well as one meal per day at work, and my university (ECU) will cover approximately $1500AU. The remainder I require is to fund my accomodation and at-home meals throughout the semester that I will be spending in Dubai as well as any Visa costs and insurance.
To be eligible for this workplacement, I required a Weighted Average Mark (WAM) of 75, however, have worked to the utmost peak of my performance throughout my entire time at university in preparation for this opportunity and have achieved a WAM of 84 so far! :D
Due to this placement being unpaid and myself currently not working full-time, I am unable to take out a personal loan for this adventure and would hate for this opportunity to go wasted due to something so material.
I look forward to hearing from anyone who would love to hear more about this unique experience and/or any additional information about me. I'm new to this, so i'm not sure of what kind of rewards to offer, so if you have any suggestions or requests, i'll be more than happy to take them on board. I'm also looking forward to possibly organising a VLOG (Video Blog) for this trip, so i'd love to involve anyone interested.
Thank you so much to every one becoming a part of this exciting chapter of my life!
