Help Scholar Join International Competition

I’m Cuitlauzina Brianna Cerbito a scholar from Southville International School and Colleges, and I would like to represent the country in an international competition.

I have recently been qualified in the Manila Rounds (winning 5 gold medals and 4 silver medals, ranking as top scholar in my school) to represent the Philippines in a international competition known as the World Scholar’s Cup (which revolves around selected topics: Diplomacy, Black Markets, Music, Art and Literature, Science of Memory, and Human Relationships, with debates involving those in real-life situations). http://www.scholarscup.org/subjects/

The first will be the global rounds in Kuala Lumpur, then the Tournament of Champions in Yale University in the USA.

However, due to financial setbacks, I may or may not be able to join. That is up to you to change.

My single mother has a blood condition wherein she needs blood transfusions to have enough energy to work, which is why she is working as an freelancer. I am only able to afford my school because of my academic scholarship. I can't change certain difficult aspects of my life, but I can change the direction of my life, for the better. This will be helpful for me to have good opportunities and a fine career to support both me and my mom; to create a more beautiful life; and to help others as well. This way, I could repay her back for all the sacrifices that she has done to raise me.

I sincerely come to you asking for any amount of support possible to be used for my fees. I am already registered through the help of various loans that I still need help to pay back, however I cannot afford the airfare fees and accomodation. It would be a waste of 695 USD (registration) if I do not follow through and find a way to pay for the rest of the expenses (1015 USD). This contributes not just to me, but my fellow teammates too.

This is something I am passionate about because I want to accomplish great things, be an influencer, and achieve things for not just my family or school, but for my country as well.

I want to show everyone that even though I am at a disadvantage financially that this will not stop me from achieving the goals I want to accomplish. I hope you can find it in your heart to allow me to take this once in a lifetime opportunity.
