Not long ago I was looking to adopt a dog. Mainly I was searching for a pit-bull. Although I am aware of the regulations and bans on them. I lost my first pit because I could not bring him over due to the bans, I knew their loving nature. This is when the horror struck. I saw so many of them in horrible conditions, mistreated, and hurt that I could not stand by any longer. Since then I have started rescuing and rehabilitating them and finding them loving homes that they deserve. People have this huge misconception about the breed but it is not the breed’s fault that humans raise them to be these aggressive and mean dogs. When they are raised in a loving home they are the best friend that we all search for in our dogs, they are extremely sweet and gentle and that is why I want to help them, because they cannot help themselves. Here are some of the great dogs we are currently working with. Meet Nina:   Nina was one of the first rescues and the idea behind this. On my mission for a pit I ended up on a pit farm. She was one of the 9 dogs there. These dogs were kept in small cages for 18 hours a day. They were released only at meal times where they were served 6 bowls of food and forced to fight for them. They were kept in a concrete shack outside on the property and none of them have ever stepped foot on grass before. They were constantly beaten, and when she got here she was covered in bite marks, cuts, and scratches. She was malnourished and was too afraid to come up to the bowl to eat. For the first few days Nina did not stop shaking in fear, and every time she would close her eyes to sleep she would start having a panic attack. Not long after getting here she found a partner in crime, Rex. Rex would stand over top of her while she ate not letting anyone anywhere close to her, he would sleep under her so she would feel safe, and soon after the panic attacks have stopped. Nina and Rex have found lifelong mates in each other. Meet Rex: Rex is a very special dog. He came from a home where both he and his female owner were abused. He is very loyal and protective of his loved ones. He not only helped his owner with multiple mental conditions, but has also worked with kids with disabilities. Rex plays a massive role in helping us rehabilitate dogs, he is very patient with all new arrivals. Our “Old Man” as we call him loves to play around and train the little ones, and lets them do whatever they want to him. He is just a giant teddy bear with all young one weather they are puppies or kids, they love to torment him all the same.   Meet Lola:  Lola is our 11 week old pup. Unfortunately for Lola she was brought into a household with an older dog who wanted nothing to do with her. After days and days of yelling and hitting her the owners gave up on her all together. She was about to be sent to the pound where she was going to be put down due to the bans in the region. When she first came here she was nervous around the older dogs as she was expecting to be hit. When she realized that they like to play she came out of her shell. Within days this little one started to pick up all the older dogs commands. Now she thinks she’s a big dog and loves to show off. Meet Deebo: Deebo he’s our 7 week old blue nose pit. His family picked him up he wasn’t even four weeks old. Since he was so young his mother did not have the time to teach him proper dog behaviour. After just a few days of having him the family decided that he was too much work now and in the future will cause too much problems in the house so they threw him into a dog shed outside. This little fella battled the weather for 3 days before we picked him up. When Deebo first got here his first response was to try and feed of Nina. After a few failed attempts Nina took him under her wing and began to teach him the right behaviour. After just a day he learned to go on the pads, and within another learned: come and stay. Now we call him our little genius, he loves to learn new things and will keep learning until your tired. Meet Rocko:  Rocko is our loving giant. Rocko first part of his life was jam packed with adventures with his owner. Unfortunately for him, his owner fell in love and got married. Sadly the wife was too afraid to ever come close to him, even with his kind nature. Soon after came the move, and when his owner moved in together he ended up in a fenced off area in the back of the backyard. Although he got walked and his owner never forgot about him, he went from the bedroom to outside. This caused Rocko to lose all confidence and start snapping. His owner could not understand that the dog was depressed and was lashing out because Rocko just couldn’t understand what he’s done to deserve this. After a while the owner was just wanting to put him down. When Rocko first got here he needed to be separated from the other dogs. Within a few weeks he started to come out to play with them, and soon after started eating with them. Not long after Rocko rejoined the gang he started losing his aggression and his original kind self-started showing. Now he is back to the Rocko he was. He loves to play outside, but even more he loves to cuddle up to you so that you can scratch his belly.   At the moment we are running this operation out of our home and we are asking for your help so that we are able to relocate to a farm and expand our services. Currently we have multiple dogs that we are trying to find foster families for the mean time since we do not have any more room in our home. Please help us make help them
