Help Save Simon

Simon has been in our family after we rescued him 3 years ago from his previous owners that were abusive. Simon was found living in a small cage in the backyard of his previous owners home. He was very malnourished. He was very thin and his skin was hanging from his bones over his entire body. Simon's hair was matted in clots from not being clean.

As soon as we got Simon we took him to the vet right away. She told us that if wouldn't have got Simon out of the there when we did he would died soon. My heart was aching for him. After a bath, full complete physical, and x-rays the vet told us Simon had multiple bruises and wounds from being abused. I broke down and cried for him and how someone can be so sick to do this.

Simon has become a member of our family and has come a long way in his recovery from what he has been through. He is very loved and well taken care of and is the best friend to not only my daughter but to my husband and I.

3 months ago Simon was diagosed with canine thyroid cancer when we noticed his appetite declining and he had an increase in his saliva, and he was running fevers. The vet told us that Simon would need surgery to remove the cancer. If we could get him the surgery it would stop the spredding of the cancer and save his life.

I wouldn't be asking for help but my husband was injured at his job on a construction site and has been out of work for the last two months. He is expecting to go back to work in August. Due to this we don't have the funds for Simon's surgery.

I am asking you for help for not only Simon but for our family. We don't want to lose a member of our family. Please help us save our Simon.
